Since that isn't an atomic bomb going off, you're going to have a great day. If it is a bomb, your day will be very short, with no pain. So there's no downside. Get on with it!

  2. Part 1
What are you waiting for sleepy-head? Get on with it!

  5. Part 1
Anything can happen today. It might not be "your" day, but you'll never know unless you get out there and make it happen.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Part 1
If you get started now, you won't have to weave through the people who haven't woken up yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Part 1
There might be a predator just over that horizon, waiting for the sun to light up some sleeping breakfast.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Part 1
If you're looking at this and thinking about everything you did today with satisfaction, then life is good. If you know you could have done something better, you're still learning. If you're wondering where the day went you need to get your ass in gear sooner.

  9. Part 1
It's a new day, bright with possibilities. Now get up and run faster than the predator that wants you for breakfast. Some predators go on 2 legs.

  10. Part 1
Nobody but you has ever seen a sunrise quite like this. That doesn't make you special, it makes the sunrise special. Get over it.

  11. Part 1
You're going to need sunglasses very soon. And sunscreen. Drink lots of water.

  14. Part 1
Today will be a day unlike any you've ever had. Or it could be, if only you'd kick yourself out of your rut and see what's important.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Part 1
That sun coming up that's brightening up the day? It's a candle compared to what your mind can do.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Part 1
It's clear you didn't die in your sleep. So far so good.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Part 1
You have just enough time to shag the one you're with with. But hurry, the tent will be getting really warm, really soon.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Part 1
With any luck at all you are not staked out in the desert naked. So the sunrise is a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ok, that's enough of that. Part 2 looks complicated. What were the instructions again?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Wow, I hope Keith doesn't live in South Africa. That'll cost me.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh Keith, Keith, Keith, it's about quality not quantity (Okay maybe quantity helps too.) Here is my best shot:
    Part 1,
"Q it's 4:30 in the morning and freakin cold outside! Go back to BED!"

    ReplyDelete
  22. One of my favorite running slogans by others is : It's You vs. You

    ReplyDelete
  23. My other favorite running slogan is "Who Fartlekd?"

(Okay it's 10:20 at night and past my bedtime, I'm scared to discover what I've been writing. Better head over to FB where I'm safe...hee hee. Gnight."

    ReplyDelete
  24. "Slow and steady will with the race, except in a real race."

    ReplyDelete
  25. Part 1: And then you hear it. That whisper. The one that says, "Go! Chase the light!"

    ReplyDelete
  26. Slogan? It's not a runner's one. It's yoda. "There is no try. Only do."

    ReplyDelete
  27. Beastie Boys. I mean, seriously. There is no contest there.

    ReplyDelete
  28. My slogan is my mantra: If it was easy, everyone would do it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sooner or later, those who win, are those who think they can.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Part 1:
At the end of the day, you'll never regret a run, but you will regret it if you don't run

    ReplyDelete
  31. Part 1:
"The best part of waking up... is going for a run"

    ReplyDelete
  32. Part 1:
"Get up and go. You know you'll feel better if you do"

    ReplyDelete
  33. Part 1:
"Don't just sit there and enjoy the sunrise - get OUT THERE and enjoy it"

    ReplyDelete
  34. Part 1:
The best compliment to a sunrise is fresh air and moving muscles"

    ReplyDelete
  35. Following you, and BQorDie.
Also Keith is a showoff, and is obviously not training enough :P

    ReplyDelete
  36. Forget the FOLGERS! The BEST PART OF WAKING UP is a GOIN 4 a RUN!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Part 2:
    Beastie Boys for running
Pearl Jam for driving around the city
Kenny Chesney for drinking on the beach

What? I'm supposed to actually CHOOSE?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sunrise. Sunset. Swiftly go the miles. One foot following another...

(you have to know Fiddler on the roof)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Favorite slogan- Finishing=winning!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think I saw a Garmin up for grabs but it closed quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  41. None really but if I had to choose - Chesny.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Part 2:
    5323 - the haybales

  46. "The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me." - Ayn Rand

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm a follower (wait, that doesn't sound right!)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I had to look up Kenny Chesney - my youngest listens to him but he's not on my iPod. Beastie Boys crack me up, but I know all the words to all the songs on Ten, so Pearl Jam wins hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I haven't been around the blogging world long, so the coolest prize I've seen (at least to me) was that butt-ton of Gu you won recently from Melanie McQuade. That's like a year's supply or something!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Current favorite slogan is Trish Parrell's FB pic. "The only one who can tell you you can't is you. And you don't have to listen." Mike

    ReplyDelete
  51. Favorite pics: this was hard, and I simply love your sunsets, but my favorite ultimately is the storm pic IMG_5611a you posted 10/28/10

  52. Blogged about your contest! http://paddlepedalplod.blogspot.com/2010/11/goals-for-offseason-or-no-excuses.html

  53. Re: best blog contest... I haven't been following much until recently, but SteveinaSpeedo has a really fun contest going on for a ton of swag, I think it's sunglasses, road ID, etc...
Entries were in the form of 'dancing on your bike'

  54. "Pearl Jam, Kenny Chesney or Beastie Boys? +1 Entry"
Frankly, I was baffled. I've been baffled a couple of days now, but not so interested in my bafflement that I would look them up in "the google" as one recently elected US official said recently. I'm guessing Pearl Jam would be a bit crunchy on my toast and so not good for my teeth. Maybe Ken is the owner of Chesney Hardware store? Are the Beastie Boys a support group for those dealing with weird practices?

  55. I'm back!! Sorry for the lack of comments.

Ok.... Time to think of a slogan....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Part 1: This is long, but it was the first thing I thought of:

Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Part 1:

The sunlight traveled millions of miles to greet you in the morning. Running 3 miles to greet it is the least you can do.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Part 2:
    I follow both you yahoos.
Best contest: Steve in a speedo DOES have a lot of good ones
    Beastie boys all the way

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am not feeling very creative at this moment so I will go with part two!
Pearl Jam....then beastie boys. Skip Kenny and replace him with old skool Randy Travis or Kenny Rodgers before his face got weird :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. I follow you and now follow bqordie as well.
I also posted this to my blogs sidebar just so you know :)
I need to get a picture of me wearing my cool kids shirt. I do wear it often :)
