Another training run…

*WOoT*

8x400m intervals at 5k race pace+, with 400 meter slow in between. in my 5’s

It started raining as we finished up, so that was good. It felt good to run fast again. I ran one repeat with Jaime at 400m race pace. Yep. As fast as I can run for that distance. I have no idea what my pace was, I was just trying to stay upright. I ran in my Injinji Socks and 5’s. Seemed pleasant enough.

  • Barefoot mileage since June 29th : 145km
  • VFF mileage since July 7th : 45.2km (12 on trails)
  • Shoe mileage since SOBF (start of barefoot): 5km (25:30 5k race PR on July 1st)
  • 2010 *10-10* Virtual Race update

Registrations remain strong. Those of you who blog and have done this before, understand this kind of thing. I know there are lots of you who read and are not bloggers or commenters; here is the deal.

To enter this contest/ race all you have to do is write in the comments on this page: “I’m in, I will run X”. If you choose to comment anonymously you can, so that you don’t have to register for anything. But if you do comment anonymously, please tell me your name/ or nickname in the comment.

To complete the entry, go run your distance (or don’t, I’ll never know) and report back in the same comment thread. Say something like this: ”I did it, now pay up bitch” and sign your name or nickname. If you are selected as a winner, I will congratulate the winner with a request to email me.You can stay totally anonymous. I don’t need to know who you are if you don’t win. Kinda like crimestoppers really.

Speaking of comments, Chris K from California writes:

Where you live looks so nice. I wish I was Canadian.

Uh, does this change your mind Chris?

And if that doesn’t make you feel better about yourself and where you live, how about this:

I have a race tomorrow at noon, and another on Sunday morning at 8am. brrrrrr.

Just to make everyone feel better, how about some awesome pictures from the past?

    2. Great photos!

      Woohoo on the intervals :)

Good luck on your races...that's crazy weather. I'm in Canada too, but as far from you as Europe :) ...so our weather is not so hot and humid.

    3. ZOMG! Chris K. from California may need an intervention if those weather reports don't get him to change his mind about wanting to be Kanadian! I hate to do that, though, because it consists of making someone listen to Celine Dion until he comes back to his senses. It works 100% of the time, but at the expense of killing something deep inside you ...
