Preview to the Report

This video was taken moments after my decision to DNF my marathon. I will have a full report by Tuesday evening…

Speaking of Chipseal… here is what the bottom of my feet looked like about 20 minutes after… yeah, that really sucked a little bit. Like stepping on the tips of needles.

  3. Yeow. That's why I'm too scared to run bare-foot. Those feet look in need of a little TLC.

  4. I can't imagine running that far barefoot...though then maybe I wouldn't be sporting the disgusting blisters I have now. Can't wait to hear more about your race! I've definitely had those races and runs where I was reminded all over again about the importance of training. Of course, those were shorter distances I'd run in the past...sounds like you could've had this with a little more protection for the feet, so it sounds like you were playing it smart.

  5. Yikes, that looks like it was painful. I agree that you probably had this with the vibrams. Next time! Good job on 31K Neil, that's amazing in itself!

  6. Ouch. You should hear me complain when I get a pebble stuck in the treads of my high cushioning shoes. Guess I should just zip it! Good job.
