Also, we built an entertainment center bookcase this week for a customer…
Before:

After (Almost done. Forgot the shelf clips) I designed the bookcase unit, Dad built it and we also installed the carpet tile. Look how much bigger that room looks! IMG_0460

We also cut in a Ministick hockey rink into the carpet! The kids LOVE this!

I ate the better part of this over the past few days… GIANT hershey kiss.

AND… my new loves showed up in the mail today! Look at them, Aren’t they bootiful? Can’t say too much about them yet except they are very comfortable and I can wear them into stores without people looking at me like I am a Neanderthal (in 5’s). These are the Merrell Barefoot Trail Gloves. When I first put them on, they felt really snug, but after an hour of hanging around the house in them, I completely forgot about the snugness, they just fit really well. We went out for a while this evening and I wanted to wear them, but since it was –25c outside I thought they would be too cold without socks (and I didn’t think socks would fit in them). I was wrong. I just loosened the laces a bit and with no more effort or any change of snugness, I easily had them on with a warm pair of socks! Wonderful so far. I will probably test them out tonight with a 5-10k run, then I have the 26k race on Monday… am uber stoked to have these, I was dreading the run in the too loose aquas and the too cold 5’s. IMG_0464

It’s still bitterly cold out…

Brrrrr… stay warm!

  3. I LOVE the entertainment center/bookshelf. Looks great!

Ladyslippers, huh? Perhaps they should've read a little further than they did. Let's hope you don't get typecast. :)

  4. Is that how it works? They feature you, then ask? huh.

Might have to look into Merrells. Good luck on Monday's race!

  5. Oh come on when ever I think of Neil Z I immediately think ladyslippers. Love the built in. If I could all my furniture would be built ins. Good luck on the race, don't freeze to death.

  7. Please know that I will not call you Neil when you get to Vancouver. You will henceforth be known as Ladyslippers. I might have to make a big sign for my family to hold to cheer for you! :)

  8. HAHAHA! Alanna: every person I see that is holding a sign that says anything about Ladyslippers will get a very appreciative full body (sweaty) hug!

Funniest comment ever, by the way!

  9. Nice job on the remodel Sheila. If you keep eating that much chocolate you are going to lose your girlish figure.

I bought new trail shoes today and mine are way prettier. Way.

  10. Good job on the bookshelf. Looking forward to hearing how you do in the shoes - I trust your judgement on 'barefoot shoes' but wouldn't go with you on the ladies slippers ;-)

  13. Brrr indeed! Your shoes look great! Did you get a discount for it? I really don't what gets people to deceive others. I hope it won't happen to them in the future. What nice room! I don't want the shoes, can you just mail me the TV? :))
